Jaguars WR Shorts held out of practice again

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A day after returning to practice in a limited capacity, Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Cecil Shorts III was back on the sideline again.

Shorts sat out practice Thursday and might not be available at Washington.

Shorts says, “I’m not sure what’s going to happen from here on, but we’ll see how it goes.”

The fourth-year receiver left practice last Thursday with hamstring tightness and was ruled out for the season opener two days later.

It was the latest injury for guy who hasn’t been able to stay healthy since being drafted in the fourth round in 2011.

Shorts has missed 12 games in four years because of injuries.

Fellow receiver Marqise Lee returned to practice after leaving Wednesday’s workout with hamstring tightness.
