WASHINGTON – The Nationals are home after a tough West Coast trip, but the team brings with it two new faces and a lot of excitement.

Bryce Harper and Tyler Moore both got called up, and promptly smacked hits in their first games.

As they head to their debuts at Nationals Park Tuesday, they’re bringing a lot of excitement.

“Harper plays with a passion and an attitude and an edge that is contagious,” says Nationals Chief Operating Officer Andy Feffer.

“What’s happening is, if you look in social media on Twitter and Facebook, there’s a whole discussion going on in the online world about the Nationals and the young talent, including Harper and Tyler Moore.”

The Nats host the Diamondbacks at 7 p.m.

Harper, The Nationals’ outfielder and first pick in the 2010 draft, was spotted on the National Mall recently, after crashing a slow-pitch softball game between the World Wildlife Foundation and the Alliance to Save energy.

The 19-year-old actually missed his first swing, and fouled on his second. But he was a welcome pinch hitter whose unexpected visit made the game.
