DC-area CEOs ranked among best in country

WASHINGTON — Glassdoor’s 2017 list of the 100 Highest Rated CEOs includes seven who head Washington-area companies.

The annual ratings feature more than 700,000 companies and are based on anonymous surveys of company employees about their boss’ leadership skills.

The highest-ranking local CEO is Capital One Financial’s Richard Fairbank, who comes in at No. 33 on this list and had an employee approval rate of 94 percent.

Here is the list of Washington area CEOs on Glassdoor’s 100 Highest Rated CEOs for 2017, and their employee approval rate:

No. 33 — Richard Fairbank, McLean, Virginia-based Capital One Financial.
Approval rating: 94 percent

No. 49 — Christopher Nassetta, McLean, Virginia-based Hilton Worldwide.
Approval rating: 93 percent

No. 59 — Tim Mayopoulos, District-based Fannie Mae.
Approval rating: 92 percent.

No. 66 — Horacio Rozanski, McLean, Virginia-based Booz Allen Hamilton.
Approval Rating 91 percent.

No. 89 — Wesley Bush, Falls Church, Virginia-based Northrop Grumman.
Approval rating: 89 percent.

No. 95 — Anthony Moraco, McLean, Virginia-based SAIC.
Approval rating 89 percent.

No. 99 — Marillyn Hewson, Bethesda, Maryland-based Lockheed Martin.
Approval rating 89 percent

The top three CEOs on this year’s list are Benno Dorer, CEO at The Clorox Company, Jim Kavanaugh, CEO at World Wide Technology and Michael Mahoney, CEO at Boston Scientific.
