Washington Nationals 2015 schedule released

The Washington Nationals will open their 2015 season at home April 6 against the division rival New York Mets.

Following a three-game series, the Nationals will hit the road for a three-game road set against another National League East opponent, the Philadelphia Phillies, before shipping up to Boston for a three-game set against the Red Sox.

The Nationals will face all four American League East teams during interleague play in 2015. The New York Yankees will visit Washington May 19 and 20 for a two-game series.

The Nats will host the Baltimore Orioles Sept. 21-23 for three games in what could be a pivotal late-season series for both teams. Currently, the Nationals and Orioles are in first place in their respective divisions.

The Nationals will close their 2015 season by playing division opponents in 26 of their final 29 games.
