Jasika, Bouzkova win US Open junior titles

NEW YORK (AP) — Two unseeded players, Australia’s Omar Jasika and Czech Republic’s Marie Bouzkova, won U.S. Open junior titles Sunday.

Jasika, 17, beat fifth-seeded Quentin Halys of France, 2-6, 7-5, 6-1. The 16-year-old Bouzkova defeated ninth-seeded Anhelina Kalinina of Ukraine, 6-4, 7-6 (5).

It was the first time in a junior Grand Slam final for both Jasika and Bouzkova.
