Man killed by CSX train in Gaithersburg

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County police say a man was struck and killed by a CSX train in Gaithersburg.

Police don’t believe there was any foul play involved in the incident, which occurred around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the train engineer saw the man on the tracks, applied his brakes and blew his horn several times before the man was struck. The man died at the scene.

The man’s name will be released after relatives are notified.
