Md. husband turns self in after wife’s shooting death

WASHINGTON — A Calvert County man turned himself in to police Saturday after his wife was found dead in their Rawhide Road home Friday night.

Deputies responded to a call at about 9:30 p.m. Friday to assist a sick or injured person.

When they arrived, they found Tanya Louise Harley, 34, dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Her husband, James W. Harley Jr., 38, left the scene before deputies arrived.

He turned himself in Sunday afternoon and is now considered a suspect.
