Police ID body found in 2 bags in Laurel

UPDATE: Monday – 8/25/2014, 2:05pm ET

WASHINGTON – Police have identified the human remains found in a bag Sunday morning.

Prince George’s County police say the victim was Jacinto Perez, 28 of Laurel.

Monday afternoon, officers planned to canvass the neighborhood were Perez’s body was found and to pass out flyers in an effort to glean more information about his death.

WASHINGTON — Prince George’s County police officers are investigating a murder in Laurel.

On Sunday, at roughly 9:20 a.m., patrol officers were called to the 8800 block of Enfield Court for a body found in a bag. Once on scene, officers discovered a second bag with body parts in it. Detectives believe the victim was an adult man.

Detectives brought in a cadaver dog to search the apartment complex for additional evidence. The detectives were working to determine a motive and suspect in the case.
