TORONTO (AP) — Evan Longoria singled home the go-ahead run in the 10th inning, and the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Toronto Blue Jays 2-1 on Sunday.

Facing Sergio Santos (0-3), who was promoted from Triple-A Buffalo earlier in the day, Ben Zobrist walked to begin the 10th and went to third on Logan Forsythe’s fly to right that Nolan Reimold missed for a two-base error. Longoria followed with a groundball single to left, scoring Zobrist. But Melky Cabrera threw out Forsythe at the plate, with the call confirmed by video review.

Jake McGee (4-1) worked two innings for the win and Brad Boxberger finished for his second save in five chances as the Rays won for the eighth time in 11 road games. They have won nine of their past 10 series away from home.
