Teen girl ID’d as victim in fatal Forestville stabbing

WASHINGTON — Police have identified a 17-year-old girl as the victim in a fatal Forestville stabbing that occurred on the morning of April 16 in Maryland, authorities said Saturday.

Te’yja Chase of Suitland, Maryland, was found with stab wounds when officers responded to the 3300 block of Springdale Avenue around 8:25 a.m. last Sunday.

She was taken to an area hospital where she later died.

Police are working to identify suspects and a motive in the killing.

Prince George’s County Crime Solvers is offering a $25,000 reward for information.
