Jets cut 7 players

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets reduced their roster to 81 with seven cuts Saturday night.

Released were tackle Bruce Campbell of Maryland, linebacker Steele Divitto of Boston College, offensive linemen Patrick Ford of Eastern Kentucky and Markus Zusevics of Iowa, placekicker Andrew Furney of Washington State, punter Jacob Schum of Buffalo, and running back Michael Smith of Utah State.

Campbell has played in 19 games over four NFL seasons, while Smith has appeared in one game in his two pro seasons.

The Jets must get to 75 players by Tuesday.
