Stolen ATV found in Anne Arundel County pond

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Authorities in Anne Arundel County say a stolen all-terrain vehicle was found in a pond.

The Capital of Annapolis (http://bit.ly/VIZIzp ) reports the 2013 Kawasaki Mule valued at $8,000 was stolen from a residence in Lothian and found in a pond Friday. Anne Arundel County police say a resident saw a man riding the vehicle and called police after seeing it in the pond soon after.

Anne Arundel Fire Department spokesman Lt. Russ Davies says dive teams searched the pond for bodies but did not find anything.

Police identified the vehicle as one stolen from a residence on Bayard Road about half a mile from where it was found.

An investigation is ongoing.
