Early interest means early release for Navy SEAL’s new book

WASHINGTON – A new book written by a former Navy SEAL is garnering so much attention the publisher has decided to move the release date up by four months.

Retired Navy SEAL Rob DuBois, who lives in Spotsylvania, is the author of “Powerful Peace – A Navy SEAL’s Lessons on Peace from a Lifetime at War.”

DuBois says his publisher listed the book on Amazon for pre-order sales and an incredible response from people in academia, military and government ensued. The publisher then decided to change the release from October to June.

“They’re going to front load the e-books in mid-June and probably be shipping hard copies from Amazon in late June and follow that with a tour of brick and mortars,” says Dubois.

Dubois says the book doesn’t necessarily cover anything new.

“This is basic conflict management 101,” says Dubois. “But it may be the newest way of saying what has always been known and we tend to forget.”
