Woman struck by own car, seriously hurt in Va.

WASHINGTON — A woman is in critical condition after she was hit by her own car in Great Falls, Virginia.

The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. Sunday on Challedon Road.  A spokesman with Fairfax County Fire and Rescue said the woman was in the process of getting out of her car when she got hit.

She had to be flown to Fairfax Hopsital, where she’s being treated for life-threatening injuries. Further details were unavailable.

The incident remains under investigation by Fairfax County police.

Super Pet Expo offers its first in-person event in Virginia since pandemic began

A Virginia pet expo running through Sunday is hoping to help those who recently got new pets to find what they need. Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
