Police investigating death of woman in Southeast

WASHINGTON — D.C. police detectives say they’re investigating a homicide that occurred in Southeast last month.

At roughly 12:30 p.m. January 19, city police officers went to the 3000 block of Stanton Road in Southeast and found a woman unconscious. Emergency response workers arrived shortly thereafter and determined she was dead.

The woman, 34-year-old Lakida Goodman of Southeast, was taken in for an autopsy. The death was ruled a homicide, according to medical examiners.
