Moody? You might need a drink — of water

WASHINGTON – Water isn’t just for thirst anymore.

The University of Connecticut has found that dehydration can affect energy levels, alter mood and hurt one’s ability to think clearly.

For the study, groups of men and women were evaluated in three, 28-day intervals. Participants were evaluated for memory, reaction time and even reasoning.

The study found that while both men and women are affected by dehydration, changes in mood and symptoms were significantly greater for women.
