Michigan’s Wilson has surgery on finger

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan coach John Beilein says freshman forward D.J. Wilson will miss four to six weeks after surgery on his right pinky.

Beilein says he anticipates a speedy recovery, and Wilson is expected back at 100 percent by the time September workouts start.

Wilson will still travel with the team on its trip to Italy from Aug. 15-24.
