Nats, Red Sox to play exhibition at Naval Academy

WASHINGTON — The Washington Nationals announced Thursday that they will play an exhibition game against the Boston Red Sox at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland on April 1.

This is part of a three-year agreement, which will see the Nats play exhibitions at Navy in 2018 and 2019 as well, with opponents for those games determined at a future date.

This year’s game will be played at Max Bishop Stadium, home to Navy’s baseball team, and is slated to begin at 2 p.m. ET.

Tickets for the nationally televised game will be distributed to Naval Academy Midshipmen and select active U.S. Navy members, but will not be available to the general public. The teams will play a regular exhibition game at Nationals Park the day prior, on March 31, at 4:30 p.m.
