Crash on I-97 seriously injures 4 in Millersville

MILLERSVILLE, Md. (AP) — Four people are seriously hurt after a car crash that closed Interstate 97 in Anne Arundel County.

Investigators say a car went off the highway Sunday about 8:20 a.m. and hit a tree in Millersville. Investigators say three people were ejected from the vehicle. A fourth person was briefly trapped.

Rescuers say three of the victims have life-threatening injuries.

I-97 was shut down for several hours during the course of the investigation. But it reopened early Sunday afternoon.
