Bombs explode in Colombia while Obama visits

WASHINGTON – Four small explosions have been reported in the same country where President Obama is attending the Summit of Americas.

Two explosions were reported in Cartagena, Colombia, where President Obama and other North and South American leaders are gathered. El Universal newspaper says one explosion was near a transportation hub. Police say no one was hurt, and bomb squads are on the way.

Two bombs were also reported tonight in Bogota, Colombia. Colombian media says there were no injuries in the explosions that took place there, according to CBS correspondent Peter Maer.

At least one of the explosions was near the U.S. embassy, Maer reports. A police official tells Reuters it may be a protest by Colombian guerillas.
