LOS ANGELES (AP) — Police and their bomb-sniffing dogs responded to a phoned-in threat Thursday at Los Angeles International Airport.

Airport spokesman Marshall Lowe says the response turned up no bomb and Tom Bradley International Terminal was cleared after about an hour.

Vehicle traffic was temporarily diverted from the terminal’s upper-level road.

The threat came at noon, several hours before President Barack Obama was scheduled to fly out of the airport.

A spokeswoman for the FBI says federal officials are trying to determine who called in the threat.
