Fairfax Co. police release video of hotel robbery suspects

WASHINGTON — Police are seeking the public’s help identifying two persons and a car in connection with a Dec. 15 hotel robbery in Fairfax County, Virginia.

In a release, Fairfax County police said around 10:44 p.m. two men entered a Quality Inn in the 7200 block of Richmond Highway in the Alexandria area.

Outside surveillance video showed a car, described as a silver compact sedan, passing by the hotel. Two men can be seen approaching the hotel.

Inside the hotel, the video shows two men entering — one immediately jumping over the reception desk and the other pointing a gun at the people sitting at the desk.

The first suspect is described as between 20 and 30 years old and around 6 feet tall. The second suspect is described as between 25 and 30 years old and around 5 feet 10 inches tall.

The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The victims did not require medical attention.

Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
