Officials find body of boater who went missing on Maryland’s Eastern Shore

EASTON, Md. (AP) — Officials say they’ve found the body of a 76-year-old man who went out rowing on the Eastern Shore and didn’t come back.

The body of Alan Meyers of St. Michaels was found around 6:15 a.m. Sunday in Broad Creek in Talbot County.

Maryland Natural Resources Police began searching for Myers after he went rowing on Saturday morning and did not return. Myers was not wearing a life jacket.

An official with the Maryland Natural Resources Police says the state’s medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine his cause of death.
