St. Francis blows by Central Connecticut State, 74-63

LORETTO, Pa. (AP) — Ollie Jackson scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers, to help lead St. Francis (Pa.) to a 74-63 victory over Central Connecticut State on Thursday.

Ronnie Drinnon scored 15 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and added three steals for St. Francis (14-10, 8-5 Northeastern Conference). Drinnon was playing his second game back after missing three straight with an injury.

Earl Brown also added 14 points and 10 boards, his fourth straight double-double and fifth in the last six games.

The Red Flash had 18 total assists on their 28 field goals and never trailed in the game. They opened on a 23-3 stretch, capped by consecutive 3-pointers by Malik Harmon.

Matt Mobley led Central Connecticut State (3-23, 1-12) with 18 points. Khalen Cumberlander and Faronte Drakeford each added 15 points for the Blue Devils, who have lost five straight and 16 of 17.

But Ewing's name alone was music enough to everyone's ears at the John Thompson Jr. Athletic Center in D.C. Ewing even replicated his famous scene from when he committed to play at the Big East school in 1981, holding a Georgetown pennant above his head.
