Victim hospitalized after Potomac house shooting

WASHINGTON – The front door opens. A confrontation. Then gunfire.

That’s what happened in Potomac, Md. on Sunday, shortly before midnight in the 8500 block of Victory Lane.

Montgomery County Police say the victim opened the front door and was confronted by a man.

There was a struggle at the door. The victim was shot and later taken to the hospital. While the victim’s condition is unknown, the injuries aren’t life-threatening.

Police are still investigating whether it was a random or targeted attack. No arrests have been made.
