RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A Dominion Resources Inc. spokesman says the company is conducting a vendor review after its employee wellness program was hacked.

Spokesman C. Ryan Frazier tells the Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1t81DZJ ) that the company regrets the data breach at a third-party vendor. He says the company is reviewing all of these types of vendors.

Frazier says Dominion is offering affected employees a free one-year membership in a credit monitoring program.

The program’s contractor, Salt Lake City-based StayWell Health Management LLC, said someone gained access to the personal information of 1,700 people in the wellness plan through a subcontractor’s system. The information included names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, gender and dates of birth.

Frazier says Dominion is no longer using the subcontractor, Onsite Health Diagnostics, to schedule the program’s health-screening appointments.
