Rapids’ O’Neill suspended; Crew’s Anor wins appeal

NEW YORK (AP) — Colorado Rapids defender Shane O’Neill has been suspended one game and fined an undisclosed sum for his play Saturday against the Philadelphia Union.

The league said Tuesday that O’Neill endangered an opponent during the 11th minute.

Also, Columbus Crew midfielder Bernardo Anor won his appeal of a red card he drew Saturday in the 84th minute against the New York Red Bulls. The appeal through the players’ union was upheld and Anor will be available for Wednesday’s game against Sporting Kansas City.
