Wall failure reduces US 460 lanes in Giles County

SALEM, Va. (AP) — A retaining wall failure has reduced about a mile of U.S. 460 in Giles County to one lane in each direction.

The Virginia Department of Transportation says the left westbound lane and the left eastbound lane are closed about 2 miles east of the West Virginia state line in an area between Rich Creek and Narrows.

The department says the lane closure is expected to last several days while the wall is repaired.
