Construction pushes Nationals to end tailgating

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Washington Nationals have put the brakes on tailgating.

WTOP’s Andrew Mollenbeck reports the team has quietly put an end to the practice. The team says the reason has to do with construction. Recent construction has cut in half the available capacity in the only parking lot where tailgating had been permitted, Lot W.

The team says as a result it needed to find more game-day parking, and tailgating got cut.
