WASHINGTON — All lanes have now reopened on Interstate 270 between Route 80/Urbana and Route 109. An accident had closed all lanes just after 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.

WTOP Traffic reported initially only northbound lanes were closed around 12:45 p.m. Both lanes shut down just before 1 p.m. and Southbound lanes reopened around 1:15 p.m.

A driver at the scene reports a dump truck was involved in the accident.

At least one victim was taken from the scene by helicopter.
