Man arrested after mall security guard bitten

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County police say a man has been arrested after he attempted to steal a bag of chicken wings from a City Place Mall restaurant and then bit a security guard who confronted him.

Police say that a security guard was on patrol Monday night when he saw a man inside the then closed Brass Hen restaurant. Police say the man attempted to flee with a bag of chicken wings and bit the guard on the arm.

Police say the man got out of the mall but an officer saw him walking nearby and arrested him. Police say the man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

Police identified the man as 50-year-old Michael K. Ray of Silver Spring. Court records did not list an attorney.
