14-year-old arrested in shooting of 11-year-old

ANTIOCH, Calif. (AP) — Police in the San Francisco Bay Area have arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of shooting and wounding an 11-year-old boy.

The younger boy is expected to survive.

He was shot once in the chest Thursday outside an Antioch apartment complex. Antioch police Cpl. James McMurry tells the Contra Costa Times (http://bit.ly/1zefWQQ) the 14-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm later that day.

He says the 11-year-old is in stable condition.

Police did not release additional details about the shooting.
