WASHINGTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation plans to have the new ramp from Interstate 66 west to the Beltway Outer Loop open by 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31. The new ramp will have I-66 westbound traffic merging to the right to get on the Beltway rather than the previous left merge.

In preparation for the opening, the following closures will take place:

• Outer Loop at I-66: 3 right lanes will be closed starting Friday, March 30 from 9:30 p.m. until 7 a.m. Saturday, March 31
• I-66 west exit to Outer Loop: closed Friday, March 30 from 9:30 p.m. until 7a.m. Saturday, March 31
• I-66 east HOV exit will also be closed at these times.

Signed detours will be posted.
