Great white shark circles boat off Jersey coast

WASHINGTON — “It was awesome. It wasn’t scary,” says Steve Clark, describing the great white shark that circled his boat off the South Jersey shore.

The shark, believed to be 16 feet long and about a ton, circled the boat for about 20 minutes, CBS Philly reports.

Clark and his passengers were out fishing for mako sharks when the great white appeared. It ripped off the boat’s chum bucket.

Clark wasn’t worried about the shark, except when it started “gnawing on the outboard motor.”
