Cardin to meet air force base business group

CLINTON, Md. (AP) — Sen. Ben Cardin is scheduled to meet with members of the Andrews Business and Community Alliance.

Cardin is meeting with the group on Monday as part of his outreach to key military installations and alliances across Maryland.

The group includes members from business, civic, faith and public sector communities. Its goal is to provide advocacy and support for the mission of Joint Base Andrews Naval Air Facility Washington.

Cardin says Joint Base Andrews is vital to the nation’s national security and serves as an important economic engine for Prince George’s County and the region.
