PORTO ALEGRE, Brazil (AP) — South Korea chose to field an unchanged lineup from its opening 1-1 draw with Russia in its second Group H match on Sunday against Algeria at the World Cup.
The team failed to produce much attacking flair against Russia, but coach Hong Myung-bo choose to stick with Park Chu-young as the lead striker over Kim Shin-wook.
Algeria made five changes to the side that lost 2-1 to Belgium, starting with striker Islam Slimani in place of El Arabi Soudani.
Criticized for playing too defensively against Belgium, coach Vahid Halilhodzic has boosted his attacking lineup with a second forward, Abdelmoumene Djabou.
