WASHINGTON — A 14-year-old girl has died in an apparent drowning Sunday afternoon at a pool in Montgomery County.

Police say it happened at the Georgian Woods Pool, in Glenmont, before 3 p.m.

A lifeguard spotted her underwater and performed CPR; fire and EMS workers took her to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
