Fundraising reports filed in Md. governor’s race

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown is leading in fundraising down the stretch of the Democratic primary race for governor of Maryland.

Brown reported raising more than $813,300 from May 21 to June 8. Brown has nearly $2 million cash on hand.

His opponent, Doug Gansler, raised $91,932 during the period. He is reporting nearly $1.8 million cash on hand.

Del. Heather Mizeur, who also is running in the Democratic primary, raised $248,314 in for the period. That includes money from public financing, but her campaign says it does not include about $85,000 in public matching money that her campaign has not yet received.

Maryland’s primary is June 24.
