Police search for missing Colesville man

WASHINGTON — Family members are concerned for the emotional and physical welfare of a Colesville man who was last seen boarding a bus near his home on Sunday.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Victor Emanuel Rivas Saavedra, 79, who was last seen near his Sherwood Forest Drive home around 10:30 p.m., according to Montgomery County police.

Saavedra is described as 5-feet-4 and about 160 pounds. He has white or gray hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a suit at the time of his disappearance and is familiar with public transportation, the police say.
