Commanders’ season on the brink after upset to Giants 31-19

Turn the ball over six times and it’s hard to win in the NFL.

The Washington Commanders did just that, including a Sam Howell interception late that was returned for a touchdown to seal the New York Giants 31-19 win over the Commanders at FedEx Field.

The loss gives the Giants a season sweep of Washington, who fall to 4-7 on the season, leaving their postseason all but dashed.

Howell threw a touchdown pass, but was intercepted three times as the Giants saw their rookie QB Tommy DeVito throw for three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Moving on, the Commanders turn right around and visit 7-3 Dallas on Thanksgiving.
