1 dead, 2 injured after being found inside car in Cleveland Park crash

One person is dead, and two people have been hospitalized after what authorities said were “critical life-threatening medical conditions” not related to a crash in the Cleveland Park area of D.C.

D.C. Fire and EMS crews were called to the crash scene on Connecticut Avenue Northwest near the Cleveland Park Library at around 1 p.m. When they arrived, first responders found three adults unconscious inside a vehicle that struck a parked car.

One of the three adults died at the scene. Rescue crews took two others to nearby hospitals for treatment. D.C. Fire and EMS said some 25 personnel responded to the crash.

There were no other injuries.

D.C. police are investigating what happened.

Police blocked traffic on Connecticut Avenue heading southbound near Macomb Street for over two hours as investigators worked the scene.
