Stafford County deputies determined that a fire on Christmas in Fredericksburg, Virginia, was started intentionally and charged a man with arson, after he was seen fighting with a woman shortly before the fire.
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to reports that a mobile home along the 600 block of Ramoth Church Road was fully engulfed in flames after 2 p.m. on Dec. 25. The department said that a man may have broken windows at the residence.
Stafford County Fire and Rescue doused the fire, and no one was injured.
Deputies spoke with Jonathan Rios, 41, and Pearl Quinn, 48, who witnesses said was fighting with Rios in the trailer just before the fire. Quinn fled the scene of the fire. Rios was arrested at the time on outstanding warrants.
Quinn was arrested on Dec. 29 on a separate outstanding warrant.
Rios has since been charged with arson — burning or destroying of an unoccupied dwelling.
Both Quinn and Rios are being held without bond, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
