1 dead, 3 injured in Prince George’s Co. shooting

One man is dead and at least two others are injured following a shooting in Capitol Heights in Prince George’s County, Maryland, on Saturday night.

Prince George’s County Police say they found several injured people at a convenience store in the 1400 block of Ritchie Road around 8 p.m.

De’Andre Johnson, 15, of Washington, D.C., was taken the hospital where he died.

Two adults were also shot. One has been treated and released from the hospital. The second is in stable condition with what appears to be non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

One of the adult victims is a store employee.

A preliminary investigation revealed two suspects walked into the convenience store and opened fire before fleeing the scene, police said.

Police say it does not appear to be a robbery attempt or a random incident and investigators are looking into whether any of the individuals in the store were targeted by the shooters.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
