1 killed in Prince George’s Co. shooting, police say

In Maryland, Prince George’s County police said a woman died following a shooting near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and Business Parkway.

The incident happened at around 9:15 p.m., police said in a tweet.



The unidentified woman was taken to the hospital with an apparent gunshot wound and pronounced dead soon after.

Former Prince George’s County Planning Board chair sues county, top leaders

The now former chair of the Prince George’s County Planning Board is suing the county, as well as County Executive Aisha Braveboy and County Council Chair Krystal Oriadha. Darryl Barnes, a former state delegate, resigned after roughly 10 months in his new job, but said the resignation was made under duress and that his first amendment and due process rights were violated.
