Man killed in Suitland shooting

A man is dead after being shot in Suitland, Maryland, Monday evening.

Prince George’s County police said the shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 3800 block of Regency Parkway near an apartment complex.

Officers in the area found a man outside with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Police are investigating the shooting and haven’t identified a suspect.

Former Prince George’s County Planning Board chair sues county, top leaders

The now former chair of the Prince George’s County Planning Board is suing the county, as well as County Executive Aisha Braveboy and County Council Chair Krystal Oriadha. Darryl Barnes, a former state delegate, resigned after roughly 10 months in his new job, but said the resignation was made under duress and that his first amendment and due process rights were violated.
