Man who escaped Loudoun Co. deputies now in custody

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office tweeted that a man who escaped police custody in Sterling, Virginia, Thursday night is now in custody.

The office did not release any additional information in its tweet. According to the sheriff’s office, the man fled on foot while handcuffed after being arrested for trespassing and assault on law enforcement at the Lerner Parc Dulles apartments in Dulles. Officers searched the area of Cascades Parkway and Woodland Road throughout the evening into Friday morning. The department identified the man as 21-year-old Millah Grant. Early Friday in a tweet, the sheriff’s office alerted that there would be an increased police presence while the search was underway.

Volunteers restore historic Wildflower Walk in Loudoun Co.

The flowers surrounding a historic bridge got some major help in order to restore a popular place to visit in Loudoun County, Virginia. The Goose Creek Bridge in Middleburg, Virginia, which was featured prominently during the Civil War Battle of Upperville, was once home to a flourishing Wildflower Walk where bluebells and milkweed plants showed their bright colors.
