1 killed in McLean crash

Drivers in McLean, Virginia, are advised to seek an alternate route after a fatal crash closed a portion of Dolley Madison Boulevard.

The crash, which happened around 2 p.m., closed Dolley Madison Boulevard between Old Dominion Drive and Elm Street in both directions for several hours, though all roads have since reopened.

Fairfax County police said the crash involved a bicyclist and the driver remained on the scene.

Search continues for swimmer who went missing in Potomac River

The search resumed Wednesday for a man who went missing in the Potomac River, near Great Falls, one day ago. A man who was with two swimmers called 911 from the shoreline of the Potomac River, south of Sandy Landing, at around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, a spokesman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue told WTOP.
