Beltsville teen struck by stray bullet, police say

A 14-year-old boy is in the hospital after he was struck by a stray bullet in Maryland’s Prince George’s County Thursday night.

The Prince George’s County police said it happened around 11:10 p.m. Thursday in the 4600 block of Marie Street in Beltsville.



Prince George’s Police said the teen was at a home the bullet hit him. Detectives do not believe he was the intended target.

Paramedics rushed the teen to the hospital.

As of Friday afternoon, the teen was in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.

Man convicted in deadly Popeyes stabbing sentenced to 22 years

The Maryland man convicted of a fatal stabbing at an Oxon Hill Popeyes restaurant in 2019 was sentenced Monday to 22 years in prison. "It was a senseless death," Prince George's County State's Attorney Aisha Braveboy said after the sentencing.
