2 found shot dead inside Md. home

Two men are dead after a shooting Tuesday morning in District Heights, Maryland.

According to Prince George’s County police, officers were called to Rochelle Avenue near Walker Mill Road just before 9:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found the two dead inside a home.

An investigation is underway, but police do not believe the shooting was random.

Before the shooting, Prince George’s County police told WTOP news partner Telemundo 44 Monday that there had been 107 homicides in the county so far this year. Around the same time last year, the county only experienced 78 homicides.

Student charged after threatening on Instagram to blow up Charles Co. high school

A student has been charged with threatening to "blow up" a Charles County, Maryland, high school in early January. The Charles County Sheriff's Office said the 17-year-old student was behind posts from two separate Instagram accounts made Jan. 6 threatening an attack at Waldorf's St. Charles High School.
