Amber Alert canceled for 5-year-old boy in Virginia

An Amber Alert for a 5-year-old boy in Virginia has been canceled.

The child has been safely located, police said.

Virginia State Police and the Virginia Missing Children Clearinghouse issued the Amber Alert on behalf of the Charlottesville Police for Bricen Kent Mwanawabene.

The child was last seen at 1528 Cherry Avenue in Charlottesville.

Police considered the child to be “in extreme danger.”

Police believed he was abducted by Kerlie Johnson Gage.

Gage is now in police custody.
